History

Kharkiv Airlines was founded in 1998 and operated flights until 2001. Since that time Kharkiv Airlines withstood difficult economic period and due to lack of adequate funding and modern aircraft fleet were not involved in the performance of air transportation.

After almost 10 years the question of flights resumption but in a qualitative format with a new fleet of aircraft and observance of the latest security technologies and international standards in civil aviation was arisen.

In 2012 Kharkiv Airlines fleet joined two new generation aircraft – medium-haul Boeing 737-800NG and one long-haul aircraft Boeing 767-300. Replenishment of Kharkiv Airlines fleet was an absolute confirmation of the new owner plans to rebuild air transportation carrier.

In June, 2013 Kharkiv Airlines received Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and License of the State Aviation Administration for providing services of air passenger transportation, which showed compliance with all standards, including carrier’s safety standards for transportation and ground handling.

The clear strategy of the new company owner primarily intended to increase passenger traffic at Kharkiv International Airport. By closely work with tour operators Kharkiv Airlines offers passengers of eastern region and not only qualitatively new air transportation services to popular resorts.

June 6, 2013 renewed Kharkiv Airlines made its first flight on Boeing 737-800NG from Kharkiv to Antalya (Turkey).

Today, Kharkiv Airlines operates charter flights to Antalya, Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. Kharkiv Airlines plans to develop the passenger traffic in the neighboring regions.

Strategic airline’s plans include development of long-haul routes to Asia, Caribbean countries and expansion of aircraft fleet due to market requirements.
